Prepare a solution with half a liter of water and two tablespoons of ammonia. Clean well with a cloth moistened with the solution. We moisten the solution using a toothbrush with soft bristles in disuse and scrubbed well between the joints. Rinse with plenty of water.
Take Note: When you finish bathing, you should open your bathroom windows to ventilate and avoid moisture and mold on the tiles.
CLEANING THE BATHTUB
Rinse the bathtub with hot water to remove soap scum and hairs (this is very important so that they do not block the drain). Wash the surface with a bath cleaner and let it stay for a couple of minutes. Rinse with plenty of water.
Useful tip: Clean the grid with baking soda to remove accumulated dirt.
To clean bathroom tiles, you can also use a commercial product specially manufactured for this purpose. And if you prefer to fix yourself with what you have at home, here we show you a simple and homemade guide:
- Firstly, sweet or vacuum the floor to get rid of the dust
- Prepare a mixture by dissolving three tablespoons of baking soda in two liters of hot water
- Add half a cup of vinegar
- Add a small spoonful of pine essential oil
Before scrubbing all your floors with a clean cloth and the solution, it is advisable to carry out a test in a much-hidden area to verify that the solution works correctly without damaging it. If the joints are dirty, scrub them with a disused toothbrush with soft bristles. Dry with a dry cloth.
HOW TO WASH A BATHROOM CURTAIN
Fill the bathtub with warm soapy water (do not fill it to the top, just make sure that the water covers up to the height of the curtain). Add a half cup of baking soda to remove fungus and bacteria. You can also choose a product specially designed to disinfect bathroom curtains or prevent mold.
Remove the curtain from the rail and put it in the bathtub. Leave it to soak for five minutes. Scrub thoroughly with a soft bristle brush. Rinse with clean water. Let air dry in a ventilated place.
REMOVE TARTAR FROM THE TOILET
A handy tip to remove plaque from the toilet is to use vinegar. Vinegar contains a mild acid that removes tartar and kills germs and bacteria. After doing a test with a small amount, you can pour a cup of white vinegar down the toilet and leave it overnight. Then, scrub the tartar with a toilet cleaning brush and pull the chain.
Another element that has characteristics similar to those of vinegar is a lemon, which can dissolve spots with its acid content. After having done a small test, you pour a cup of squeezed lemon juice and let it stay for half an hour. Then, scrub the tartar and stains with a cleaning brush for bath and finally rinse by pulling the chain. Remember always to use rubber gloves to clean and protect your hands.
